The Medical Malpractice department is led by two partners, Bernd Schwarze and Cornelius Thora. More than ten lawyers in the department offer recognised high-quality legal representation in all German courts, primarily to insurance companies, hospitals, doctors and midwives. Upon request, our lawyers will also engage in pre-trial proceedings. In addition to representing doctors, hospital and nursing home liability, our experts also specialise in defending against criminal charges. Our lawyers have the necessary medical knowledge as well as legal expertise to assess risks and successfully defend claims. Our team represent doctors and dentists on behalf of numerous medical liability insurers and are directly instructed by a large number of hospitals and nursing homes.
In addition to civil liability, our lawyers have considerable experience in providing representation in criminal proceedings for doctors, nursing staff and officials of healthcare providers. If requested, we can provide legal advice or defence at all stages of criminal proceedings and we work together with numerous cooperation partners on a basis of trust.
