Carsten Hösker, LL.M.

Carsten Hösker, LLM, is a lawyer and partner in the Industrial Liability department at the Cologne office. He is a Specialist Insurance Lawyer and focusses on out-of-court counselling as well as litigation in national and international product liability cases, product recalls, product liability and recall cost insurance under international insurance programmes. Carsten Hösker is a recognised expert in his field in the German and London markets and has handled numerous large claims in recent years. He regularly advises insurers as well as industrial and commercial enterprises on product recalls or recall cost recourse, whether in the supply industry (especially automotive), in plant construction or in the food sector. He is regularly consulted by both German and foreign insurers on the drafting of business and product liability policies as well as product recall liability policies. In doing so, he benefits from his many years of litigation experience before public and arbitration courts and in mediations in both liability and coverage disputes. He has also successfully settled several claims totalling over a hundred million euros out-of-court and has been increasingly more involved in product safety law issues.
