PD Dr Dominik Schäfers, LLM, is counsel in the Life & Regulatory department at the Cologne office. He was awarded the authorisation to teach (venia legendi) in civil law, commercial law, civil procedure law and legal theory by the University of Münster in 2019 after completing his habilitation. He advises our clients across all sectors, in particular on insurance supervisory law, general issues of private insurance law, competition and antitrust law and data protection law. His many years of experience in research and teaching at various universities in Germany and abroad continues to enrich his legal advice. The broad and fundamental knowledge he has acquired in this way enables PD Dr Schäfers to assess challenging legal issues from a wide range of perspectives in a holistic manner. This is of considerable advantage to our clients in a legal environment that is characterised by a constant increase in complex and often uncoordinated regulation.
Dominik Schäfers is a member of the ESG consulting team, where he deals with sustainability issues of all kinds, particularly from a coverage and liability law perspective.
