Dr. Simon Kubiak

Dr Simon Kubiak is a partner in the Financial Lines practice area at the Cologne office. He is a Specialist Insurance Lawyer and focuses above all in liability defence for “chambered” professions (lawyers, tax advisors and notaries), especially at the interface with capital and investor liability. As a recognised expert, Dr Simon Kubiak also advises insurers on complex coverage law issues in professional indemnity insurance as well as cases on broker and intermediary liability. Clients appreciate his excellent professional knowledge as well as his clear communication skills and economic expertise. In recent years, he has repeatedly advised insurers on coverage law in connection with the liability of tax and accounting firms that acted as limited partners in trusts and/or controllers of the use of funds for various investment companies.
